>You never really had many friends, if they could even be called that >They were acquaintances at best, you figure. >You were 13 when your grandfather passed >It was weird. You loved him, but when he died, you didn’t really feel anything. >If anyone could have been your best friend back then, it was your grandpa >He taught you to shoot and to clean and maintain firearms. Mostly older, more simple ones >you were quick to learn with your hands, so having just the basic principals was usually enough to figure out most of them worked, and how to clean and maintain them. >Every time the two of you went out, he would make sure to instill into you a respect for your weapons >He would always call each of them by name that you thought he’d given them. >You thought it was weird, but that’s just how he was >He said that it was just being polite and he encouraged you to do it too. >He always said that every weapon has a spirit, a soul, but you didn’t really see it. >They had never turned into their geist forms in front of you >When he died, he left all of his guns to you. Your dad would keep them until you were 18 for all but one. >His Mosin Nagant M91/30. >His most prized rifle. >He took that rifle everywhere with him. >The rifles most distinguishing feature was a massive rut in the steel of the bolt where a bullet skidded across it as the original owner was reloading, at least that’s what your grandpa said at the time, >You knew about Waffegeists. >You had come to know that they were real >So why did they never come out for you? >Why did Nonna never come out? >Still, she was the last connection you had to your grandpa, so you made sure to keep her clean and maintained, and love her at least as much as he did >You did everything to get her to come out, but nothing worked, even still: >You took her shooting every chance you got >You would sit with her and listen to old soviet music. >You would talk to her, even though she would give no response >You didn’t care. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >You didn’t care that you never really had any friends >You didn’t care that people thought that you were weird >You didn’t care that she never responded. >All that mattered was that you keep trying. >You made sure to do well in school, despite it seeming like a waste of time >If only because Grandpa wanted you to. >You made sure to carefully clean and maintain all of the guns that you could >If only because Grandpa wanted you too. >You took up gunsmithing at 15 to be able to better take care of your guns, and Nonna. >Technically the rest of his collection wasn’t yours, but they were in the same house anyway >They may as well have been. >Over time, you grew into appreciating Nonna and the rest of your new, old, guns for what they were. >Sure your Nonna’s bolt was a bit stiff, but you had been operating that bolt from the time that you were 8. You had no problems with her, while others of the same age would never be able to smoothly operate her. >Sure she has a 90° bolt turn that would force you to lose sight picture, but that didn’t matter to you. It just meant that you had to be more careful with your shots. >Sure she’s heavy, especially in comparison to newer weapons. She’s good exercise to carry around. >Sure she only has a five round magazine that you have to either load with clips or one bullet at a time. You don’t mind. It helps to conserve ammunition. >You began to see her like how your grandpa saw her, you think. >Then you were 18 and the draft hit >You knew that you could take any weapon, if you supplied your own ammo >The standard issue gauss rifles hit 10x as hard, were easily 5x as accurate, even with the improvements that your grandpa had made to her barrel design, and weigh half as much as your Nonna. The ammo was cheaper and weighed less. >You didn’t care. >You were going to take your rifle with you. >Your “Glorious Moist Nugget” as he’d call her pattern on occasion ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >You got no end of weird looks from everyone else in your squad and on base when you showed up with a rifle that was easily 150-years-old >You still didn’t care. You were proud of your rifle >You wished for nothing more than to use her to bring her into the modern field of battle and prove that she was still a good weapon of war, even now. >You did well in boot >You were issued an LGP-75/80, a GPMG because you said that carrying a heavy rifle like your Nonna was good exercise >She was still lighter than your Nonna by a full pound >You were in the top 5 in accuracy for the whole base, even while shooting your Nonna >You were proud of that fact. >You didn’t even have a scope. >You had to calculate everything in your head. >You didn’t have fine adjustments for your sights >You felt that you were proving that your Nonna was still relevant and reliable >They never praised your rifle, though. Only you. >They laughed about how even with a “garbage rod” you were still one of the best five marksmen in the entire camp >It hurt for some reason. You didn’t know why at the time, but hearing them joke and laugh about Nonna hurt you more than anything else ever had. >None of the bullying that you received in school, not the social ostracization, not even your grandpa’s death hurt so much. >You took care to not let it show, and you buried those feelings. >You never joined them, but you never said anything either, just tried to steer the conversation in a different direction >You still didn’t really have any friends, but at least most of the other Boots treated you decently >Near the end of basic you were all sent out into the woods to perform mock-up missions. >That’s when everything changed. For the better, you think. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >You and your squad had completed their mission for the day and you wondered off from your camp area before dark, as you had some free time. You took Nonna, like you always do whenever you can >There was a small (17 ft) cliff within a 10-minute hike from your camp, so you figure that you were close enough to camp to not get into trouble so long as you were back before lights out >You stood there, watching the sunset with Nonna in hand >Before the sun had fully set you decided to turn back, but you must have wandered too close to the ledge, or something, because it gave way, dropping you down the cliff with a small landslide following after you. >You were knocked unconscious sometime during or after the fall. You don’t know how long it was that you were really out for, but it must have been at least 20 minutes >When you woke up it was fully nighttime, and you couldn’t feel your legs and everything else hurt, but your first thoughts were “Nonna isn’t here! Where is Nonna? Where is my rifle?!” >You’re not sure if your voice even came out at all, but you tried to call out for your rifle, who had never even shown her geist form to you. You tried for what felt like hours, but was probably only a minute or two. >Before you slipped back into unconsciousness, you saw what you thought at the time to have been an angel, for surely a valkyrie would never come for you, not in this state, not after having lost your rifle. >Her eyes were what struck you the most, though. >A cold-as-ice blue. Almost white. They were filled with painful years. They were panicked, but overjoyed >As she ran towards me some otherworldly light illuminated the world behind her. >Then everything went black >When you next woke you were in a hospital bed and the angel who you’d seen running towards you was sleeping next to your bed and holding your right hand for dear life. >For what little it was worth, you squeezed back. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >She woke shortly after you >upon seeing that you’re not only alive but awake and okay, she broke out into tears >She climbed onto your bed and pulled you into a hug while sobbing into your shoulder >You’d never been in a situation like this. You didn’t really know what you should do >If you’re being perfectly honest with yourself, your reaction of returning her hug and patting her head was more due to years of watching anime than any natural instinct >It’s just that, whenever this kind of thing happened in anime, that’s what the appropriate response seemed to be >Your social retardation seemed to help you, as her sobbing seemed to lessen >As you patted her head and held her, you noticed her ears and tail were that of a wolf’s >This seemed odd to you, but it felt too good being held to ruin it with such inconsequential thoughts >She held you, and you held her, stroking her head, for a long time before a nurse came in to do a check up on you >It was as the silver-haired angel got off of you that you noticed that she, in fact, had a massive, ragged scar on her face. >It was almost as if a bullet had skidded across her forehead, over her nose, and down her left cheek >You also noticed that she was wearing an M69 Soviet uniform >You think it odd, and the scar seems familiar for some reason, but you can’t quite place it >The nurse told you that your legs had to be amputated and replaced with cyborganic ones, which was news to you as they felt normal >The nurse checked you over while the Russian(?) wolf-girl stood nearby, just watching you. Making sure that the nurse didn’t try anything funny >Almost as if she were your bodyguard; tear-streaks still marring her scarred, yet beautiful, face while she stood her watch ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >A doctor came in as the nurse was leaving and looked you over >He told you that you would likely be discharged from the hospital in a few days, and just had to go through some rehabilitation therapy to get your muscles used to moving again and to get you used to your new legs >After the Doctor had left after unhooking the IV from your left hand, you turned to your impromptu bodyguard >She looked back at you, and then away to the floor >In her eyes you saw fear and regret >It was then that you realized that you hadn’t actually said anything to her yet, and neither had she said anything to you >Before you can really think up what you should say, a man from your squad walks in with arms full of metal boxes and some envelopes >The man is Sgt. Edalwulf Bergmann. He’s got a fucked up sense of humor, but he cares for his weapons just the same as you do, so you figure that he’s alright >You’re jealous of him, as his weapons show themselves to him >You can plainly tell that they love him “I come bearing gifts!” >He shouted in his usual boisterous nature “Lots of get-well-soon cards and some original spam-cans for your Mosin” >He sets the boxes down with a metallic clunk “Can’t bring you the booze that we got for you yet, though. . . You’re a lucky girl, you know. If your Mosin’s geist hadn’t come and gotten us, we would have probably been too late” He laughed, casually gesturing to the Silver haired woman standing on the other side of the bed from him >She looked as though she wanted to run away once he had said that >”What is he talking about?” you think. “None of my guns have ever shown their geist forms. Why now, were you worthy of seeing them?” >The look of confusion on your face must have been enough to convey what you were thinking to the sergeant, as he turned around and said: “Looks like you’ve got some catching up to do. I’ll give you two some privacy.” >Before closing the door he added “Try not to fall down any more cliffs, you hear?” >And the door was shut, Sgt. Bergmann laughing at his own joke as he left ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >It took you a few minutes to really process what had just been revealed to you >After thinking it through, you decided upon a course of action “Nonna?” You asked, quietly. “Да?” She answered back, still looking away “Why did you and the rest of grandpa’s guns never show yourselves to me before? Even when grandpa was still alive?” “We. . . We were afraid.” She replies slowly. “Of what?” “Of getting too attached again. We didn’t want to have to lose another master zhat we loved. If we stayed as only guns, we zhought zhat we could detach ourselves from it, at least a little bit. Zhat our master would just treat us as tools” Nonna started. Her eyes beginning to water again. “We zhaught zhat zhis is what would happen, but we were wrong. About you, and about Daniel, your grandfazher. Never once did he, nor you, ever treat us as just tools. He gave us names when we would not provide our own! He would only ever call us by zhem. He would always take such great care to keep us cleaned and maintained, and take us shooting, and make sure than anyone who he let shoot us handled us properly!” >Nonna had started crying again. She sat down on the chair that she had been sleeping in “When he died, we felt it. Perhaps not quite as strongly as before, but it was still zhere, and it hurt. But we zhought, perhaps zhis is for zhe best? He is giving us to his granddaughter, who is only 13. Yes, she treated us well wizh her grandpapa, but perhaps she will treat us only as tools? She is a young girl, after all, why would she spend so much time and effort on her guns? What need has she for us?” >Nonna held her head in her hands as she continued, looking straight at the floor ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ “We were wrong about you, zhough. You treated us just as well as your grandpapa had, perhaps better! And when you took me wizh you to boot-camp, I could only barely contain my excitement and fear. I was so happy zhat you would choose ME of all of your weapons, or out of zhe weapons zhat you could be issued by the military to be your weapon! I was elated zhat I had a chance to go back to war, and wizh someone who I knew would take good care of me!” >Nonna paused for a moment. She looked up and our eyes met “But I was terrified. Terrified zhat I would lose anozher master. Not just anozher master, zhough, but one zhat I loved. I was terrified zhat I would underperform and zhat you would toss me aside in favor of anozher rifle.” >Nonna then stood up and walked over to you. >You had been silent this entire time. Listening intently to Nonna’s story >She took your hand in hers, gently. Her hands were calloused, but somehow still soft and warm. It nearly made your heart skip a beat “And how could I not love you? Not only did you always treat be well, but you never zhrew me away, even in zhe face of such vastly superior rifles! You even used me to out-perform most of zhem!” >She drew your hand with hers up to her forehead “When you fell, and when you were covered by zhe landslide zhat followed, it was zhe most terrifying zhing zhat I had ever experienced!” >Her tears were now rolling down your arm as she cried out her explanation to your, apparently, deceptively simple question “I immediately transformed and started digging for you. Once I found you, and you were alive, I was so happy, but I knew zhat zhat would not be enough, and so I ran back to zhe camp as quickly as I could to get your squadron.” >she lowered your arm down a bit, looked into your eyes, still crying, and with smiled “On zhe way back, when I heard you calling for me, you cannot imagine how happy I was, but at zhe same time, it scared me, just as it still does” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >By this point in time, the only things that you could think were “I want to protect this girl’s smile. I want to make her happy. I want her to never leave me.” >Thinking these thoughts, you begin to pull her down to you with the hand that she has clasped in her own, never breaking eye contact >You had started to cry as well shortly after she had said that she loves you, “Nonna, I’m sorry for all of the hardship that I’ve put you through. . .” you tell her as you continue to pull her closer “Wha-?” is all that she got out before she realized what you were doing, her eyes wide, but she didn’t resist as you pulled her in for a kiss >She smells of gunpowder, oil, Iron, and Cosmoline. >the kiss was soft, but passionate >in truth, it was the first time that you’d ever kissed anyone, but it felt so right. >Nonna was red as a beet, but that didn’t stop her from bringing you in for a second kiss. >The second lasted a bit longer than the first and felt just as good. “Nonna, I love you. Please, never leave me” you pleaded, breathlessly as you pull away >Nonna pulled you into a hug and whispered into your ear “Я тоже тебя люблю(I love you too). I swear, I will never leave you.” >You intend to hold her to that ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >The two of you sat there, Nonna straddling your lap, simply embracing each other, for close to an hour >This is the happiest that you’ve been in the /k/ube knows how long >You think that Nonna feels the same way >As you think this a knock comes on the door “Yo! You decent in there?” came a familiar voice >You and Nonna untangled yourselves from each other and she got off of your bed and sits back down in her chair >You both wipe the tears from your faces before you respond “Yeah, come on in.” You tell them >They open the door and you see that it’s Sven, your second oldest brother >In order of age, you’re brothers are: Jack(30), Sven(27), Volker(25), Karl(22), -Chad(21)-, you(18) >Fuck Chad >Sven took over dad’s engineering firm shortly after you set out for basic >He's always been a good and responsible brother. He intentionally took a third shift job with dad so that he could help you with homework and such while you were still in school because dad was always too tired or busy >He tried his damnedest to take grandpa’s place but just couldn’t do it. Still, he definitely helped some “Hey, kid. You know you scared the shit out of us, right?” he opens “Bullshit. You were the only one who was scared. I swear; Jack, Volker, Karl, and dad were too busy laughing their asses off at the fact that I almost went down in Boot, without even having gotten to see real combat” I respond >He chuckles nervously >I fucking knew it >Then he seems to just have noticed that Nonna is here too, still holding my right hand “Who’s this? Your girlfriend?” he asks. “Why didn’t you tell us that you’d finally found someone?” >he walks over to take a seat that’s on your left side >Nonna goes red at the mention of the word “girlfriend” >Fuck she’s adorable “I-I am Nonna.” She stammers >Sven looks slightly confused for a moment before asking “Tanya, isn’t that the name Grandpa gave the Mosin that you use?” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ “I /am/ zhat Mosin, Sven.” Nonna responds, slightly tiredly >Sven looks at me, and then at Nonna, and then back to me before his face lights up “So you finally got her to come out for you? Congrats!” He exclaims “Less that I GOT her to come out, so much as if she didn’t I would have fucking died.” You respond in monotone to make him think that you’re upset >He falls for it and starts stammering out an apology that you don’t pay attention to >One of the few real life activities that bring you joy other than shooting and cleaning your guns is fucking with your brothers >Other people in general, but still >You still haven’t managed to get Volker >No-one said that you were a good sister. Average, perhaps. No better >Unfortunately, it had the same effect on Nonna >She’s looking at the flood again “Sorry,” she whispers. “I’m sorry zhat I was never zhere for you before. . .” >She tries to let go of her hand but you just hold on tighter and pull on her >The sudden jerk startles her and almost forces her out of her chair >You don’t think that you’re going to really need those rehab courses “Nonna, could you please get up here? It’s cold, these sheets are shit, and I’m only wearing a hospital gown.” you complain to her >In reality, it’s quite nice, but she needs another hug >You probably do too, but you won’t admit to that “W-what are you-” Nonna blurts out as Sven butts in “If you’re cold, I could get you a jacket-” You stare daggers at him until he shuts the fuck up and realizes what you’re trying to do “No, Nonna, sitting in my lap, is definitely what I need right now” you explain >You pull on Nonna’s hand until she relents and climbs onto the bed with you >You spread your legs and pat the space that’s been made in between >Holy fuck >Can her face GET any redder? >Adorable ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >You must keep her within arm’s reach at all times >If anyone else saw this and you couldn’t immediately claim her as yours, you’re pretty sure that someone would try to take her home with them >Nonna reluctantly sits in between your legs, her tail coming out off to the side >You wrap your arms around her waist and pull her in >She is so fucking embarrassed >You can’t get enough of this shit >You pull her back so that you’re laying down with her on top of you >Nonna makes a cute “meep” sound as you lower the both of you down “Much better~” you exclaim >Truly, this was one of the best ideas that you’ve ever had >Nonna is covering her face with her hands out of embarrassment >Sven is shaking his head while facepalming >You are so fucking smug right now. This is the greatest. >The only thing that could make this better is if you and Nonna were both Naked, and Sven wasn’t here >You are tempted to say this out loud, or to whisper it into Nonna’s ear, but you think she may actually die if she gets any more embarrassed “So, anyway. What were you saying, Sven?” You inquire, having finished getting comfy >Sven stops shaking his head, removes his hand from his face and looks at you >He knows what you just did, but isn’t sure if you did it on purpose >In truth, you’re not sure either. >You knew that you thought that Nonna needed a hug and that you wanted to hug her >As for how you got it done, you just know that you did it in the easiest-for-you way that you could >You start stroking Nonna’s head with your hand as he finally responds >Nonna’s stopped being so embarrassed, you think, as she moves her hands from her face down to the hand that you still have on her waist ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ “Well, I really just came by to make sure that you were fine.” Sven began. “Seeing as how Nonna’s here with you, and you’re not dead or comatose, I suppose that everything is fine. So, Nonna? If I may: Why did none of you ever show yourselves to any of us?” >Nonna tenses up, not wanting to go through the explanation again you think “She explained that to me earlier,” you interject. “They were trying to get Grandpa and me to look at them as nothing more than tools to try to emotionally distance themselves from us. If they showed their geist forms, then they couldn’t achieve that goal.” >Nonna seems to relax due to your having explained the situation for her “I see.” Was Sven’s reply >He looked a bit grim for a moment before putting on a smile and standing to leave >He rustles your hair and then extends his hand to Nonna >She sits up and takes the offered handshake “As is obligatory, if you hurt her, we’re ALL coming for you.” Sven playfully threatens >She must have tried to crush his hand after that because Sven suddenly winces in pain “I swear zhat I will never let ANYZHING harm Tanya.” Nonna declares >You can hear a fire in her that you didn’t think possible from what you’d already seen “Okay! I believe you.” Sven blurts as he retracts his hand. “I need to get going. It’s kinda late and I’ve got work to do.” “See you later, Sven,” you say to him >Now that you think about it, it is almost night outside >You’re feeling pretty hungry, now that you think about it >Sven turns to leave >Before he goes he tells you to “get well soon”, then the door is shut once again >Nonna begins to lean back into you but you stop her before she can >She turns around, confused “We’re getting up. I need food,” you explain >As though to emphasize your statement your stomach growls >Nonna’s face washes over with relief ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ “If it is food, I can get you somezhing from zhe mess-hall, or make you somezhing if zhe do not have anyzhing zhat you would like!” she proudly exclaims as she climbs off of the bed, her tail wagging excitedly >You miss her already >Fuck. This skinship stuff is addictive “While I appreciate the offer of delivery, I’d rather go too.” you say “Actually, how long was I out for?” “...You were unconscious for two days,” was Nonna’s melancholic reply “Well, then we should go ahead and start getting me used to my new legs,” you tell her as you swing them over the edge of the bed >As you attempt to stand, you suddenly realize why you needed the rehab therapy >DICKS.diq >hindenburg.mp4 >You can only barely control the cybernetics and smash into the ground >The sound of your shout of DICKS as you fell to the floor echoes through the room, and the hallway outside “Tanya!” Nonna cries >she rushes over to help you up and make sure that you are not injured “Perhaps only I go, yes? Zhis way you do not fal-” Nonna attempts before you stop her with a finger on her lips “I am going,” you tell her. “Please, just help me up. If I cannot stand and walk on my own yet, then I will simply need you to help me to stand and walk.” >She seems nervous about the idea but ultimately concedes to it as a nurse rushes in >Probably checking on the noise of someone shouting and then falling onto the floor “What happened?!” the nurse demands as she moves to help Nonna pick you up >you wave her off and as Nonna helps you to your feet you explain “I am hungry, and so I tried to get up from the bed. It seems that I had overestimated my ability to stand and walk.” “If that’s the case, then you should have called for one of us to get you something, or had your Geist do it!” the nurse calmly exclaims >She attempts to usher you back to your bed >You’re having none of this shit “No, I’m going. I will not lay in that bed another second until I have eaten,” you argue ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >Something else then hits you “And until I’ve pissed,” you add. “Nonna, restroom first, please.” >She nods and begins walking you to the restroom that’s in the room >The nurse looks exasperated >She probably has to deal with prideful shits like you all the time >Nonna helps you onto the toilet and you shoo her out >You may love being together, but the restroom is a bit much >You finish your business (took 15 minutes. Fuck), wipe, and try to get to the sink on your own >You make it, barely, but you’re not giving up just because you’re pretty sure that you’ll fall if you don’t rest your weight on the edge of the sink >You wash your hands while using your waist to balance your weight. >When you’re done you try for one more act of self-reliance: getting to the door >This, goes about as well as you thought that it would >СУКА.bitch >You slam into the door and fall onto your ass >It was still better than when you first got up, so it’s still progress “Tanya?!” you hear Nonna cry from the other side of the door before she flings it open >You’re pretty sure that it would have come open no matter if it was locked or not >You’re also lucky that the door opens outwardly “Are you okay?” she inquires as she kneels down next to you >Her accent, combined with her soft voice are too good >They’re simply the best “Yeah, I’m fine,” you confirm. “‘Was just trying to get to the door on my own” >You grunt as she pulls you to your feet again “See?” the nurse from earlier chides. “You can’t even stand yet! You should be in a wheelchair still!” >This is going to be a long three days “I AM standing,” you retort. “I just happen to need a little help at the moment.” >You gesture to Nonna, whom you are leaning on for emphasis >The nurse just sighs “Fine, but I’m following you around, for now, to make sure that you don’t do anything retarded” >You shrug and nudge Nonna into motion >Nonna glares at the nurse for a moment before moving for you ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >Is she being protective of you? Oh, that’s too precious >You aren’t sure if your heart can take this level of Diabetes inducingly adorable behavior on a regular basis >You get a pair of underwear for yourself before leaving the room >Why do hospitals never leave you unconscious IN a pair of underwear? >Why must your nether regions always be naked? >It’s ridiculous >You and Nonna move through the hospital to the cafeteria, along with your nurse >You almost fall on a few occasions, but it’s fine >Nonna’s got you >Upon entering the cafeteria you find that the dinner tonight is Salisbury Steak >Talk about good luck! >The Salisbury Steak MREs are the best. Anyone who says differently is a fucking commie >There are only TWO good Commies, Nonna, and a dead commie. Seeing as how none of them are Nonna but Nonna, the only good commie is a dead commie. >Of course, Nonna may not be a commie anymore >You’ll have to ask about that later >For now, noms >You and Nonna get a tray and walk through the nearly empty line, picking up foodstuffs on the way >Milk, because the excessively filtered water tastes weird (Nonna got a bottled water), mashed potatoes, corn, and the Salisbury steak. >Delicious. >Years of experience holding your plate away from (((Chad))) as he tried to spill your plate while the rest weren’t watching, as well as eating with one hand while working on your guns has left you with the near inability of dropping a plate of food while using only one hand >This comes in handy when you only have one arm to carry your tray in, due to needing to hold onto Nonna >The two of you, plus the nurse, who also got food, take a seat at a bench-table near the trash cans >You dig into your food like you hadn’t eaten in a few days, and technically, you haven’t ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >As you eat, you notice that Nonna is barely touching her food >She is eating, just, very slowly >She has a small smile on her face while watching you >Her tail is slowly wagging back and forth behind her >She seems to be enjoying herself >Is something funny? “Do I have something on my face?” you ask her >When Nonna notices that you’re talking to her head snaps down and she starts focusing on her own food “N-no,” Nonna stammers out her quick reply before beginning to wolf down her mashed potatoes >She’s gone red again >What’s embarrassing about this, though? >You get why she was embarrassed with the stuff from earlier, but not this >She’s still absurdly cute, though “Then why were you amusing yourself by watching me eat?” you press her, trying to understand the situation >The nurse is facepalming for some reason “I, zhat is … You, looked extremely cute while you were eating…” Nonma whimpers after finishing a bite of corn >Because, she thought that you looked cute while eating? >wut.wut >How does that work? >Thinking that someone looks cute while eating? >Still, though, this is really the first time that anyone’s ever called you cute before. . . >It’s now your turn to be embraced and look away >Holy shit, though. She actually thinks that you’re cute? >You’re at best a 4/10 >Sure, she told you that she loves you, but that has more to do with emotional attachment than looks an- >Fuck. >You told her you love her back already. >Yes, you do love her. She’s a terrific rifle >But you’ve only known her as an actual person for all of five hours >You’d only actually spoken to her for ~15 minutes before confessing >Should you retract that statement and try it over again after a more natural amount of time has passed? >No. You can’t do that now. >She’s probably be mortified by that and you don’t want to see that >You should have waited at least a few days before actually responding to that… ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >Oh well. You can’t go back now >You’re sure that it’ll be fine >She already makes your heart beat faster just by being around her >You weren’t lying when you told her that you love her, you think >Still, though. It is kinda weird… >As you slowly come out of your head you notice that Nonna’s calling your name and shaking your shoulder >Seems like she has been for a while, and that she’s worried >The nurse is on your other side, for some reason “Hmm? Yes? Is something wrong?” You ask as you look over to Nonna >Concern is clearly visible on her face “You weren’t responding or doing anyzhing! I’ve been calling your name for zhree or four minutes. Are you feeling alright?” Nonna asks you, sliding her hand from your shoulder to the small of your back “Yeah, I’m fine. I was just thinking,” you tell her. “This isn’t anything new, you know. I always get like that when I’m working on you. When I’m working on, or thinking about, something important in general, really” “Really?” The nurse asks you from the other side. “What were you thinking about that was so important that you would block out the rest of the world for …” The nurse pauses and looks at her watch. “Four minutes?” >They both look at you with a mix of curiosity and concern “…Personal stuff,” you tell them. “I swear that it has nothing to do with my own health.” >You know that the nurse was probably going to ask if it was something like that “Are you sure?” She asks, anyway “Yes, ma’am,” you sigh >The nurse looks skeptical, but seems to accept the answer for now >She goes back to her seat and gets back to her food >Nonna still looks worried >You scoot closer to her so that your shoulders are touching “I promise. It’s nothing to worry about,” you whisper to her as you lightly lean on her >She sighs and leans into you as well “If you insist…” she says >You go back to eating >Minutes later you’re all done eating ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >Nonna takes your tray with hers, clears the trash from them, and places them onto the tray return rack with the nurse >When they come back Nonna helps you up and you head back to your room >It’s easier than the way down, but you still need to mostly rely on Nonna to stay upright >At least she doesn’t have to catch you this time >When you get to your room the nurse bids the two of you goodnight and leaves >Nonna helps you into your bed and walks around to the other side of the bed to the chair that she’d been using >She sits down and takes off her boots and leaned back as though she was going to sleep in the chair “What are you doing?” I asked her, slightly miffed >She jumps at the sound of my question “Wha-? I-I was going to sl-” is all that she could get out before you interrupted her “Not in the chair you aren’t,” you tell her >She looks scared, like she’d done something wrong >Did she think you wanted her to sleep on the flood? “Now get those pants and jacket off and get in here,” you command as you hold the blanket up “You sleep with me. I don’t care if you’re just a rifle or a person too. You sleep in my bed.” >The looks of fear is replaced by one of extreme embarrassment “Are you sure?” she questions. “I mean, I know zhat you would always take me to bed wizh you before, but…” >The look on your face seems to answer the question for her as she starts to undress >She undoes her belt and drops trow >Pure white, huh? >She takes her uniform jacket to reveal a “wife beater” >Also white >Without the uniform jacket on you can see that her breasts are easily twice as large as your own >Admittedly, yours aren’t very large >A B-cup at best >Nonna’s look really soft… >She folds up her uniform and places it onto the chair before crawling into bed with you >She lays down facing away from you >That’s just as well >Whether she’s in rifle or geist form, you’re not going to sleep without her in your arms ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >Though, you suppose being in her arms would be really nice too >You put away your glasses before wrapping your arms around Nonna’s waist bringing her in close >Nonna’s silky hair covers your face as you nuzzle the back of her neck >Her hair smells like gunpowder and cosmoline~ >The act of sudden affection elicits a meep out of Nonna >Her body, initially having stiffened in reaction to your actions, slowly relaxes into your arms “Спокойной ночи, Таня (Good night, Tanya),” Nonna whispers after a few moments “Спокойной ночи, Нонна (Good night, Nonna),” you whisper back >Sleep takes you quickly >The next morning you find yourself in the same position as last night, but now with Nonna hugging your arms to her >You decide to simply bask in the comfort of the situation, rather than attempting to get up >It’s only barely light outside, so you figure that it’s about 06.00 >You lay there, holding Nonna for some time >After, perhaps an hour, she starts to toss and turn in her sleep >She then starts calling your name frantically in her sleep >You prop yourself up a bit with your elbow and whisper “I’m here, Nonna. Tanya’s right here” into her ear >You use your other hand to rub her stomach >After about five minutes she calms down >You can see that she was crying due to whatever was in her dream >You lean over her and kiss Nonna on the cheek “Mmm~” >Nonna smiles and her eyes open sleepily >She turns her head to face you and plants a kiss on your lips before shifting around to be on her back >Once on her back she pulls you in for a longer, more passionate kiss >Your tongues dancing around one another as you hold each other close >Nonna’s kisses, you just seem to realize, taste of Iron and cosmoline, if you went by the smell >This realization only serves to make you horny(er), as you move your hand under Nonna’s shirt to grope at her ample bosom >Nonna’s bra gets in the way momentarily ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >You search around and find that it’s a front hook, you quickly remove the bra and begin to fondle Nonna’s tit >This brings about a moan of pleasure from her as you continue your kiss >After a few more moments of this, Nonna slowly breaks your kiss and flips you over >Straddling your thighs, Nonna undos the ties on the hospital gown that you’d been wearing and peels it away like a wrapper, exposing your much more modest breasts beneath >Nonna smiles seductively as she bends down and begins licking your stomach while fondling your breasts >Oh FUCK that feels good! >Moans escape your mouth despite your best efforts to keep quiet as she slowly licks her way up to your breasts >She pauses for a moment, sizing up your breast as though they were pieces of fruit before deciding on one and bringing down her mouth to have a bite >You have to grab onto the bedsheets to try to contain your pleasure as Nonna nibbles on your right nipple and massages your left >Clenching your teeth, your back arcs violently as you cum from her assault “NNHhaaa~! N-Nonna~!” you exclaim breathlessly >Now, you’ve masturbated before, everyone has. If they say that they haven’t, they’re probably lying >This, though, is SO much better >Nonna hasn’t even gone to your cunt yet, yet it still felt so good! >Nonna comes up and kisses you deeply before going back down, planting light kisses on your body as she goes “W, wait-up, Nonna. I just came! Maybe I could do you instead for a bit, yeah?” you plead, not sure if you can handle another attack >She stops just before she reaches your, now soaked, panties “But zhis is no good, Tanya~” she coos. “Zhis is how you make me feel every time you shoot me, you know. I would love nozhing more zhan to return zhe favor~.” >Before you can even attempt to resist or respond Nonna has already startes to strip you of your panties >A string of pussy juice forms from them to your womanhood as she takes them off ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >It eventually snaps around half-way down your thigh “My~! Just look at how soaked you are. From just your breasts at zhat~!” Nonna seductively chides. “It makes so happy to see zhat I made you feel so good. I promise to make you feel even better~.” >Once she’s gotten your underwear completely off, she tosses them off of the side of the bed >Assumedly to the same spot that your hospital gown went “And such a massive bush, too. Have you ever even shaved down here?” Nonna continued >She looks up at you smugly as you attempt to get the breath to be able to respond “I, I never had a real reason too… I never thought that I’d actually get a partner, and it ne-IIHN~!” you attempt to respond, but Nonna seems to have had enough of your explanation >Nonna parts you and begins lapping around the inside of your lips with her tongue >It’s not even two seconds before you can’t take it anymore and climax for the second time >Nonna doesn’t relent as she reaches under your legs and grabs your hips to be able to pull you in even more as she eats you out >You reach down with your right hand and take her left in yours, your fingers intertwining >Nonna slips her tongue into your hole and starts lapping your inner walls >Your mind goes blank after >You can’t remember the specifics, but you’re sure that you must have came at least three more times >When you come around again, Nonna is cuddling your left side and the blankets are overtop of the two of you again >You look out the window and see that the sun’s fully risen now >Probably around 08.00 >You feel better than you have in a LONG time, and not just in the afterglow sense >You look over to Nonna and see her ice-blue eyes staring back “Доброе утро, Таня, любовь моя~(Good morning, Tanya, my love),” she says as she pulls you in tighter ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ “Утро, Нонна(Morning, Nonna),” You respond, not really sure how you’re supposed to act after your rifle/girlfriend just fucked you unconscious “You know, I really didn’t think you had that in you,” you tell her, deciding that expressing how you actually felt about it was the best option. “I’ve never felt that good, ever. Fuck, I still feel better than I ever have as far as I can remember. Thanks.” >Nonna looks at you confused, then stiffens up “Что? (what)” was all that she responded with “Earlier, when you fucked me silly,” you explain. “Based on how you’d been acting, I didn’t think that you would try something like that. ‘Glad that I was wrong, though.” >Nonna looks down and sees that both of you are naked >Her eyes go wide. >She looks like she’d just seen one of the old commiefornia gun burn piles >Fuck you’re glad that they stopped that horrendous practice “Zhat…was not a dream?” She asks tentatively “No?” >Did she think that it was a dream that she was having? >That, does make sense from what you’ve seen of her so far >Nonna immediately jumps back and onto her knees, covering her breasts with one arm and blocking her eyes with the other “I-I am extremely sorry! I, I did not know what I was doing and assaulted you!” She stammers out an unnecessary apology. “Please do not zhrow me away!” >She prostrates herself, still on the bed >You can hear her sobbing >Huh. So she didn’t have it in her if she’s got her faculties about her >You get up and walk over to her on your knees (Much easier than trying to walk normally at the moment) >You pull her up from her overly deep bow and force her to face you >A torrent of tears roll down her marred but beautiful face >You plant a soft kiss on her lips and pull her into a hug “You have nothing to apologize for, Nonna,” you reassure her. “I told you already, it felt really good, yeah?” >Nonna returns the hug ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >Nonna’s sobs having slowed down now “Are… Are you sure?” she timidly asks “Of course I am,” you say as you pull back to see her face >She’s smiling now, though she’s still got some tears rolling down her cheeks “Спасибо (thank you),” she replies >You kiss her forehead and give her another quick bear-hug >You let her go and, using the bedsheets, wipe the tears from her face. “C’mone, Nonna,” you encourage her. “Let’s get dressed, get breakfast, and get this whole physical rehabilitation shit sorted out.” >You do just that >in the middle of your and Nonna’s getting dressed a nurse walks in >Apparently he’s here to wake you up and get you breakfast, then to get you to your first therapy session >At least he had the courtesy of covering his eyes with his clipboard instead of staring >This also made him blind to the enraged Russian rifle bayonet charging him >You shout her name and tell her to stop >Dead. In. Her. Tracks. >Well, shit. She really pays attention when you’re the one talking >You tell Nonna to just finish getting dressed before berating the nurse for no knocking >Once you have a pair of loose sweatpants and T-shirt, that the nurse had brought, on the three of you get going >The walk down to the cafeteria is uneventful aside from Nonna occasionally glaring at the nurse escorting you >You still aren’t having much luck on the whole walking on your own front, but it is what it is >Considering tired your body is from just a little while ago >Breakfast is cereal or oatmeal, milk, toast, and scrambled eggs. >You get oatmeal >It tastes terrible, especially the eggs, but it’s better than Shit On A Shingle >Or is it? >You really aren’t sure. It’s probably at least marginally better >After you and Nonna finish eating the nurse takes you across the hospital to a rehab center >He occasionally asks if you would prefer a wheelchair >You tell him no with increasing irritation until he finally stops ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >Once you get to the gym area the nurse directs you towards a set of long rails set up near the middle of the floor >Nonna reluctantly lets go of you once you get over to the rails and are leaning against one of them >you spend the next few hours until lunch walking back and forth using the rails to keep stable >After lunch it’s more of the same until supper >Upon finishing your food, you and Nonna go back to your room >Shortly after getting into the bed, you’re out >You wake up the next morning cuddling your rifle >What? >Why is Nonna back to being just a rifle? >You sit up and clutch the rifle to your chest as you bring your legs up to you “Was that just a dream…?” you wonder aloud >You question as to whether or not you were just hallucinating the last few days >It makes more sense, after all >There’s no real reason why things should have gone so well >If she hadn’t come out before, and she really didn’t want to get attached, then it doesn’t make sense for her to ever come out >You don’t care if you do take good care of her, is that really enough for her to care that much about you? >The reasons that you saw were probably just some way of your subconscious explaining why your weapons never showed themselves anyway >Even if it was just a delusion, it was the happiest that you’ve ever really been since your grandpa died >You don’t think that you could reall- >Wait. Delusion? But… people saw her and reacted to her, so it would have had to have been a dream, right? >But, if it were, then you would have had to have not woken up until just now, right? >However, if you had just now woken up, then you would still be hooked up to the machines, right? >Unless you’ve replaced the past few days with false memories, then it should have been real >Well, only two ways to check. Ask someone else who’d been here at the time, and ask Nonna >'Fastest option is first… “Nonna?” you ask tentatively ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >It takes a few minutes of anxious waiting before you finally get a reply “Mmm… Ah, yes? Did you need somezhing, Tanya?” >Nonna sounds like she’s been sleeping “OH! You want to go to zhe cafeteria, yes?” she asks >She’s apparently having concluded that that was why you’d woken her up. “If you will not hold me so tightly zhen I would be happy transform and help you zhere.” >You do anything but let her go. Instead you nuzzle your cheek against the wood of her foreward stock “No, Nonna. I was just-” you start, unsure of how to proceed. “I was trying to make sure that it wasn’t a dream.” “...Zhat what wasn’t a dream?” Nonna inquires cautiously >You lovingly stroke the gash on her bolt as you reply “That you had actually finally shown yourself to me,” you explain. “When I woke up, and you were in your rifle form, I may, or may, not have had a minor panic attack, not being used to you being like that after having woken up to you in your geist form twice. This is the first time that you’ve been in your rifle form since revealing yourself to me. Isn’t it?” >You still feel that the truth is better than trying to save face. >What point is there in trying to save face anyway? If you’ve learned one thing from those gook cartoons and comics, it’s that not telling the truth to your romantic partner is a retarded idea “Wha-? N-No! I was just sleeping!” she frets. “I am sorry zhat I scared you like zhat. I promise zhat I will not do it again!” >She was just sleeping. Right. You will need to remember that she’s still a gun too >It’s probably more comfortable for her to be in her rifle form anyway, right? >Still, though. Having her worry about you like this just gives you all kinds of warm fuzzy feelings that you’ve never experienced before >Sure, Sven’s done shit like this before (to lesser extents), but that’s Sven. He’s your brother and it’s just annoying when he does it ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >But Nonna, you’re sure that she would be looking absolutely adorable right now if you would let go of her so that she could transform “No, no. It was just that I was surprised this time. I’m sure that I’ll be fine next time,” you coo. “If you’re more comfortable in your rifle form, then stay like this.” >You relax your position and release your hold on your raifu enough for her to have room >Nonna changes forms and immediately embraces you “I would razher be like zhis, If I could,” she whispers into your ear. “If I am in my rifle form, zhen I may be more comfortable, but I could not hold you like zhis. I could not return your affections.” >She pulls back from you just enough to be able to look into your eyes >You look back into hers >Her eyes remind you of Siberia on the surface, but they are far too warm and loving for the comparison to go much farther “I would not want to be incapable of touching you back.” she explains >Nonna reaches up and cups your cheeks in her hands before pulling you in and gently touching your foreheads together >The entire time she never breaks eye contact >You place your hands on top of hers and close your eyes >You simply bask in her warmth for what feels like an eternity that you never want to end >Unfortunately, like all good things, the moment is ruined >Luckily, it’s not anything major >Just your stomach deciding that now was the perfect time to announce that it’s out of food and wants more >Nonna giggles in reaction to your guts complete disregard for the moment that you were both having “Perhaps now is zhe time to get breakfast, yes?” she laughs >You sigh as she pulls away and gets off of the bed “Yeah, I suppose.” You reply as you move to get off of the bed as well >Nonna moves to help you but you stop her and stand on your own “Don’t worry,” you tell her. “I can walk mostly on my own now. At least, I won’t collapse from just standing up.” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >The two of you slowly make your way down to the cafeteria >You held hands the entire way >Partly because you just wanted to stay together, and partly to give you a little bit of extra support >Today’s breakfast is oatmeal with baked apples and (optional) brown sugar >Fuck yeah >The two of you eat and then head down to the physical rehab center >By lunch you can easily walk and run on your own again >Sgt. Bergmann and some of the rest of your squad (7/12) come by around lunch to see how you’re doing >Johan, the squads medic, tried to hit on Nonna and you broke his nose for the trouble >Bergmann just laughed and egged you on like he normally does when anyone get into a fight around him >Much to his chagrin, though, you only laid Johan out instead of jumping onto him once he went down and trying to beat him into a bloody pulp >You won’t say that you didn’t want to, but you (and your sargent) can’t blame those kinds of injuries on him running into a wall or tripping into the railings that are set up to help people keep their balance while trying to walk >Jeff, the squads combat engineer, smacked Johan on the back of the head and tells him to apologize, reminding him of how most people(marines) tend to feel about their waffegeists >After Johan reset his nose he laughed and apologized halfheartedly, but it was something >You get details on what will be happening once you’re out and are informed by Svietlana, one of the squads normal riflemen, that the squad’s being assigned to the SCS Indianapolis, a strike cruiser, as part of the boarding party and ground team >The ship’s being stationed out of a starbase in Deneb, near the SCS’s outermost borders >Nice >This is probably all thanks to the Sargant >He just laughs again and pats you on the shoulder as he leaves >The rest of them follow >Later the doctor says that you’ll be released tomorrow, and your things are brought to you >You go to sleep with Nonna cuddling you for once ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >You awaken to the patriotic bliss that is Священная война (The Sacred War) blaring on your tablet at max volume >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLi0Fxfqtdk >You are so fucking glad that you set that as your alarm >So good >Nonna wakes up at the same time and squeezes you before letting you go to let you sit up and turn off the alarm >0600 hours “Доброе утро Любовь моя. (Good morning, my love),” Nonna coos to you as she hugs you from behind. “Когда мы снова отправляемся в путь? (When do we set off again)” >Did the soviet music make her forget that we’re in New Rhodesia? >Well, I suppose that this WAS a joint op to make Africa not shit by most of the world powers after the war, but still. The official language is still English >You still wonder why Japan didn’t help. They DID have what was China (minus Tebet) under their control at that point, so they had plenty of people >Then again, they DID have to deal with what used to be China >It was probably a massive pain in the ass trying to make the place not a smog-covered shit-stain of a country >Not to mention rebuilding all of the factories and such so that they were up to modern building codes >and make sure that workers weren’t being treated like shit >Actually, no. It makes plenty of sense as to why Japan didn’t fucking help murder Zimbabwe >They had to deal with their own bullshit “[RUS]We leave in two days,” you inform her, not bothering to use English. “We're to be on-base and on standby as soon as we get out of here[/RUS]” “Мы отправляемся через два дня. Мы должны быть на базе и в режиме ожидания, как только мы выберемся отсюда.” >Nonna gives you a quick peck on the cheek before letting go and getting dressed >You enjoy the warmth that her lips left on your cheek for a moment before also getting up out of the bed to get ready for the day ========================================][========================================
