A /k/ommando is death, but Death is a /k/ommando The city is well-asleep, the drone of a lone car swept through the empty street drearily illuminated by the glow of sodium lamps. However, it soon became clear that there was no complete silence in one of the little buildings the line the sidewalk. Ernesto Ronaldo, a gunsmith by trade, is burning the midnight oil so as to finish a job due tomorrow. A man came in the shop earlier that day, requesting that a set of tritium sights be installed on his Rock Island 1911 .22TCM for a night shooting match on the next day for a hefty sum. Ernesto, knowing that every coin helps keep the little shop afloat a little longer, accepts the deal. What he thought to be a simple slip-in, slip-out job turned out to be a little challenging as the dovetails on the slide appear to be a tad smaller. A man of detail, he cuts a more proper one using a cutter on the mill. He was just done with affixing the front sights when he hears something up the door. >*tap* >*tap* >*tap* It was already late in the night, and in precaution, slips out a Walther P-38 from underneath the desk and hides it behind his back as he drew closer on the door. Just as he reaches for the knob, the mechanism unlocks itself, sending the door ajar. A man in a dark cloak stood a few feet taller than him. Ernesto's grip on the handgun tightens. He is now worried on what this figure is up to. >"Come on Ernesto, you don't greet guests with a gun behind your back. Let's cut the chase. It's now your time." >Who are you? >"I am Death, and I have come to escort you. You are the last person I am to take in this night." >No, I can't die yet! I still have a life ahead of me! I have a massive backlog in the gun shop, orders to fulfill! The man pleads. >"Sorry, but your name is clearly on the list. Can't change anything, Ernesto." The figure then appears to extend an arm. The long draping sleeves eventually retract, revealing the tips of gloved fingers. Ernesto's eyes light up as he sees a familiar design. >Are t...those Mechanix gloves? >"Yes, I like them for my line of work. Doesn't spook people like you as much than if they were just my cold, bony fingers." Being presented with a hand to take, Ernesto began to think for a bargain. >Uh...being my last few hours here, can I have a final request? >Can I offer you a chance to browse our inventory? The tall figure appears to ponder, looking on what appears to be a Casio F-91W before bobbing it's head in agreement. >"Still got time, and you're the last one for the night. Go ahead, I would like to check out the new ARES SCRs you have. Nice Walther too, good taste in milsurp." The guest wanders off to the walk-in safe, browsing through the first row of guns before picking out to inspect a locally-made 5.56 AK clone. His problem now distracted and delayed, Ernesto immediately sets off to tap the little object in the slot on the slide with a rubber-faced hammer. At least he finishes one last job before he goes. He then opens a rifle safe, taking out most of the rifles and shotguns out to form a little tepee-like structure in the middle of the shop. A handwritten note is then shishkebabed through the bayonet of his beloved Springfield 1903 as a final touch. >Alright, I'm ready to go! Can I atleast take a handgun with me? Just the Desert Eagle? There seemed to be no response from the walk-in safe. Being both curious and somwhat worried, Ernesto heads inside. >Hello? You still here? Need help? Rows and rows of gun racks he passed, until he comes across the ghoul on the 5th one. >"This is what I came for. I need it." He stared on at the ARES SCR, the only one that made it to your inventory. In moment's notice, he takes it off the rack, inspects it, and pulls back on the charging handle to check if it is clear. The rifle then ends up being slung on his back. >Free of charge, just for my last customer. Ernesto quips as Death adjusts the sling for his comfort. >"Alright, let's go, shall we?" Ernesto holds on the good old Mechanix gloves, and in a flash, his body goes limp on the floor. "lel 5.56 sux" The police officer is baffled at what appear to be a note left on one of the guns at the scene of the crime.
