>You walk out the hospital doors with Lilly arm in arm
>Today is the day you've been released
>You're arm and shoulder is still sore and hurts a little but its better than being dead
>You check your phone to see what you missed while you were in hospital
>No less than 67 missed calls from your mother

>You call her and tell her that you're okay and that you'll make it to their place for Christmas with Lilly
>You also find another missed call from your neighbor
>"Hey Anon, It's your neighbor Dave. While you're out I kind of took the bear you killed and skinned it. Drop by if you want the skins, I turned it into a bear rug so I hope you're okay with that. i mean if you're not I'll gladly keep it. Oh one last thing, There's a huge amount of bear steaks waiting here for you as well. Don't worry you don't have to pay me, I already took some of the bear meat as payment. Well, hope you get well soon, see yah"
>With how you decorated the house to give it a more rustic feel, the bear skin would actually go great in the house.
"Hey Lilly, I got a call from my neighbor, seems he turned the skin into a bear rug, you wouldn't freak out if we had one right?"
>"I think it would go nice in front of the wood stove, but no so close it would catch fire" she replies after thinking for a few seconds
"It's like you read my mind Lilly" you say with a small chuckle
>After getting to the car you drive down to the grocery store to pick up some food, due to the fact it's been a week and most stuff in the fridge has been there for a few weeks
>As you're browsing the isles with Lilly in tow you run into one of your co-workers
>"Anon! Hey where have you been this week. We heard you called in injured"
"It's a long story man."
>"Aww don't do this to me anon, I got plenty of time"
"Well, there I was all warm and cozy by the fire with my girlfriend, then suddenly I hear a noise like something going through my trash..."
"So I go pick up my trusty rifle and march outside determined to rid my property of whatever vermin was in that bin..."
"I go outside and right infront of me is this massive grizzly. Like he must have been a good ten feet tall on his hind legs"
>"Jesus a Grizzly was in your trash? What did you do?"
"Well I leveled my trusty rifle and shot the beast. He was hit bad but still had some fight in him, giving me these nasty gashes and bite wounds. But a second shot from my rifle put him down for good"
>"Must have been a good rifle"
"Oh she's the best thing ever"
>You look over at Lilly who is as red as a rose with embarrassment and pride
"Wouldn't you say so Lilly?"
>"O-oh..Y-yes of course" she says sheepishly
>"Well you have a good day Anon, hope you don't encounter anymore bears" your co-worker said before walking away to continue his own shopping
>Once he was gone you turn to Lilly who was still bright red and now pressing her index fingers together
"What's up Lilly?"
>"Y-you didn't have to say those things Anon. I'm quite embarrassed"
"Yeah, but you also had this sparkle of pride in your eyes. I'm quite observent you know"
>"Let j-just continue with shopping" Lilly says while taking your arm in hers
>You chuckle a bit then continue buying groceries
>Afterwards you return home and park in the driveway
"Lilly, I have to go off and do some Christmas shopping for Family. This includes for you so I'm going to have to do this alone, okay?"
>"Okay Anon. Have fun shopping" she says before closing the door
>After the short drive back into town you make a mental list and visiting different stores for gifts for family
>Finally for Lilly
>You pull up in front of the store and enter
>The small bells that jangle when you open cause the old man behind the counter to look up
>"Ah, what can I do for you young man?" he asks while walking up to the counter
"I'm looking for something for my girlfriend...for Christmas" you tell him while shaking his hand
>"Ah, I'm guessing this is going to be the biggest Christmas gift she's ever had?"
"Uh...yeah if you want to call it that"
>After looking in different cases for a while you finally pick out what you want and the old man hands you it in a small velvet covered box in a small bag
>You hid this in a larger bag full of gifts for family members so Lilly wouldn't notice
>As you enter the house you see the tree you were planning to put up is up
>Lilly is decorating it with the ornaments
>"Oh. Welcome home Anon, did you get everything you wanted to get?" She says once she notices you coming through the door
"Oh yeah, just got to wrap most of it. The tree looks beautiful Lilly"
>"Why thank you Anon, I always loved Christmas time" she says as she turns back to decorating the tree
"Oh one more thing Lilly, you know how I'm going home to my family for Christmas?"
>"Yes what about it?" she asks a little puzzled
"I want you to know that you're coming with me. On an airplane"
