Simon tailed the van to a rundown building. He waited for the driver of the van to get out, Simon watched as the man looked around as he opened a side door and smile to himself. Simon pulled over and got out of his car, he wasn’t being governed by reason or logic at this point, only by a lot of anger and not a whole lot to let it out on. A part of him didn’t even care if they were the people he was looking for, he just saw that guy as scum that needed to be gone. He put on the mask and unsheathed the ka-bar. Simon reached the door he had seen the man go through moments earlier, he just whipped it open just in time to hear Alvin call out.
“I want a go with that bitch we got”
The door closed and the noise got alvin to turn around to see the masked man standing in the doorway.
“Ah fuck” Alvin muttered as he charged Simon.
Simon tried to take a stab at Alvin but he moved too fast, the two were now on the ground. Alvin somehow wrestled the knife out of Simon’s hands in a matter of seconds. Thinking he was about to turn the tables on the masked maniac, Alvin was abruptly kicked off. Simon drew the 4506 from its shoulder holster and fired at Alvin. The .45 round hit Alvin square in the shoulder. Alvin tumbled back, dropping the knife. The sound from the shot was deafening, so loud Simon was too disoriented to see Jeffrey run to the other side of the room to get the shotgun that Alvin had dropped earlier. Jeffrey shouldered the gun and fired 12 gauge buckshot at Simon. The shot hit Simon in the head, he fell to the ground, blood pooling from his head. Jeffrey helped Alvin up to his feet.
“Holy hell man! We gotta get you to a hospital!”
“Nonsense! I just need some booze and a minute with that bitch”
“Dude! Your shoulder has a crater in it!”
“I’M FINE!” Alvin yelled
Alvin walked over and spit on Simon’s corpse. He walked into the soundproof freezer room where Ken was watching Penelope. Ken turned around to see the bleeding Alvin.
“Christ man what happened?”
“Some godamn maniac shot me, I think I deserve a little treat for taking a bullet on this job.”
“Look, you’re not gonna ra-”
Alvin hit Ken with a left hook and knocked him clean out. Ken collapsed on the floor, Alvin just stood there huffing, it was getting hard to breathe. He looked at Penelope who was tied to a chair. Even with his injuries, Alvin was still able to overpower Penelope and proceeded to force himself on her. Jeffrey was pounding on the door, yelling about how someone had to have heard the gunshots and that they needed to go. The cops weren’t called, Bobby got the money and they left Penelope in the warehouse, bruised and bleeding. 

Penelope was rescued and received care in the hospital, after her wounds healed she went on to talk about the rape epidemic. She became a local celebrity after the incident. The fact that Simon was the masked maniac shocked her, and using her status, she made multiple speeches about how vigilantism was wrong. She gets a petition signed to get the apartment building he owned torn down, and a plaque commemorating all of his victims at city hall. Years down the line, she ran for mayor and won the election. In her term she banned guns using her experience from her “dangerous” boyfriend. In her last hours in office, she got construction workers to secretly destroy Simon’s grave.

Brian expanded his business, selling Kingpin to everyone who would buy it.

Kimber had nothing to write about after the masked maniac died. She ended up moving back to her hometown in Missouri where she lived in the shadow of her senator mother.

Roberts continued to do what he had always done, being a cop that occasionally bent the law.

Ashley was shocked to hear the whole story behind Simon being the masked maniac. She never ended up in Roberts’ basement, she lived a normal happy life.
