Kantai Collection The waves break on our tiny sailboat as I sit on the deck, staring at the sunset. Her head rests on my lap, snoozing away. The boat rocks gently, and I brush aside a strand of her hair, before staring back towards the peaceful sunset. >‘How did it end up like this?’ I think, ‘I wish we could go back, when things were as peaceful as this sunset.’ ---3 Weeks Ago--- >“Admiral… I love you.” >“Mmhm, thanks. Go check up on the returning fle- huh? What’d you say?” I say, surprised. >“Admiral…” she says, staring at the ground, “I… can’t live without you. Please accept my confession.” I was taken aback; my pen fell from my hand. >“Y-you know this isn’t allowed…” I stammered, “Besides, a pure shipgirl like you deserves more than me…” >“Admiral, you’re wrong. I can only fall for you, the light in my life. Without you… without you… I wouldn’t be able to live… Please, Admiral, don’t shatter my heart into a million pieces…” She trails off, leaving her words hanging in the air. >“I… Alright. But we must keep it a secret; no one must know.” I say, lifting her face to look at mine. She throws herself at me, embracing me in a bone-shattering hug. >“Admiral!” She cries, tears streaming down her face. -From then on, we dated in secret; Secretary and Admiral.- ---A few days later--- >“Admiral! I’m back~!” Kongou cries, opening the door to my office. >“Welcome back, Kongou. How was your sortie?” I ask politely, not taking my eyes off the mountains of paperwork I needed to finish. Two hands lift my head from my work, and I find myself staring into a pair of hazel-brown eyes. >“Kongou, can’t you see I’m busy?” I ask. >“Too busy for your favorite shipgirl, Admiral~?” Kongou teases, leaning in closer to my face. Kongou suddenly pulls back as someone knocks on the door. >“Admiral, Fleet One has returned; Kongou is missing, the rest of the fleet is searching for her. Ara? Why’s the door locked? Admiral?” >“U-uh, sorry! I’m busy; I’ll come out in a bit! Everything’s fine!” I stammer, Kongou taking pleasure at my squirming. >“Okay then, Admiral~!” >“Admiral, I’d best be going.” Kongou says, running her hand along my jawline as she leaves my office. I give a sigh of relief, going back to the enormous stack of paperwork. >‘Fuck, I’m going to be here all night.’ I say under my breath. -Later that night- My tongue is wrestled down in my own mouth as she triumphantly forces her way inside, her tongue exploring every inch of my mouth. We break apart, breathless and gasping for air. I barely manage two breaths before she begins her renewed assault, pushing me down onto the couch. My arms, once intertwined behind her back, were now interlaced with her fingers, squeezing tightly together. She begins to unbutton my uniform, her hand leaving an icy trail along my chest, as my free hand grips her firm buttocks. This continued late into the night; the mountain of paperwork scattered all over the desk. ---The Next Morning--- I sat at my disorganized desk, uniform creased and rumpled in more places than I could count, and half-asleep to boot. My pen idly signed my signature, authorizing forms I couldn’t make out, or be bothered to read. The office door opened, and in walked a four-star admiral, flanked by two MPs. I nearly jumped out of my chair, snapping to a salute. >“Good morning, Admiral!” I salute. >“At ease.” the Admiral says, hands clasped behind his back. >“Sir, any particular reason you’ve stopped at our port today?” I ask, standing at attention behind the desk. >“It has recently been called to our attention that you’ve been engaging in unauthorised prohibited activities with the shipgirls. I regret to inform you that you have broken Article 2204; and as of now, you are hereby stripped of your rank and command.” He says, pacing the room. With a wave of his gloved hand, the two MPs walk up to my desk and cuff me. >“You bring disgrace to this Navy, Anon. We expected so much more from an Admiral of your caliber.” He continues. I am walked out of my office, flanked by the two MPs, in total silence. --- Kongou watches Anon being led out from a nearby crane. She has a pained expression on her face, twisted in pain, anger, and sorrow. She held a smartphone in her hand, a form to transfer to a military prison displayed on the screen. Closing her eyes, she began to imagine a scene of her and the admiral alone in a concrete cell. Her heart raced uncontrollably at the thought of this; her breathing quickened, and a warm glow began in her loins. She opened her eyes to stare at her admiral again; only to find the two MPs unconscious in a crumpled heap. --- My vision blurred as I was dragged along the dockyard; the incapacitation agent running rampant through my bloodstream. She had come to save me; fully dressed in her combat rigging, she made quick work of the two MPs. My whole body felt like lead, they soon became too heavy for me to move alone. An ear-piercing whistle went off as I was tossed into a boat. We were already underway by the time the base was on alert. ---Later that day--- >“Carrier Division 5, Zuikaku, launching!” >“Battleship Bismarck, setting sail.” >“Battleship Iowa, weigh anchor!” >“First Fleet, Nagato, sortieing!” >“I will be the one to win over Admiral’s heart…” Kongou says darkly, setting sail. - >“Combined Search Fleet has left the base, repeat, Combined Search Fleet has left the base!” A feminine voice proclaims over the loudspeakers. --[To be continued?--
