Hell in the High Alps is a story set in the Italian Front of WW1. The action centers around Franz Ehrenberg, a young conscript in the Austro-Hungarian Imperial army and his comrades in the Carthinian Force Mountain Brigade. Starting in May 1915, it isn't just the Italians that Franz and the others have to contend with: avalanches, frostbite, snow blindness, friendly fire, and bad luck can be found in spades. And that's before they get ordered to attack!
