Pistol Problems "Thirteen in 10s and three in the 9s at eight yards. Nicely done, Maxie" >you say as you set your Beretta 92FS down on the shooting bench >in a muted flash your pistol's waffegeist appeared sitting on the table, wearing her usual ankle high boots, mid-thigh black shorts, dark blue T-shirt with a silver beretta logo on the right breast, a choker with her first spent case hanging off it, and a light sheen of sweat showing on her exposed skin "Grazie, but you're getting better as well, maestro." >the little Italian waffegeist says as she looks up at you with a big grin "Practice makes perfect" >you say as you ruffle Maxie's hazelnut brown hair earning a giggle from her >Maxie was quite possibly your most prized possession and not just because she was the only gun you had with a waffegeist inhabiting it >she was your first gun ever and had shown her waffegeist form to you after you had defended yourself from a meth head that had kicked in your door and stabbed you >she was also the reason why you hadn't bled out in your kitchen waiting for an ambulance "Well, since we are at the range I think it's time to put some rounds through that police trade in pistol finally" >you say before turning to your gun case and retrieving your recently acquired pistol as Maxie hopped down from the shooting bench "If you say so, maestro" >Maxie replied as she wiped her brow then stretched >your newest pistol may have been a police trade in, but it was a genuine steel frame IMI Jericho 941R in 9mm "Shall we see what she can do, Maxie?" >you ask with a smile as you set the Jericho and its two magazines onto the bench "I still don't see why you needed a Jericho. You have me already." >Maxie says with a frown as she watches you load the mags "I've told you before Maxie, you're not being replaced, but what happens if I can't get to you or you're being worked on and someone breaks into the house or something?" >you say as hook a fresh silhouette to the hangers while the short waffegeist crosses her arms, but doesn't say anything "Besides you're the only waffegeist I have. The other guns are just guns and this one gives no indication of having a Geist." >you finish as you watch the silhouette travel down the rails to the 7 meter mark "That is conceal carry distance." >the 92FS waffegeist says with a grumble as she looks up at you "Don't be like that, Maxie" >you say as you gently pat her head then pick up the Jericho and slap a mag home making the slide unlock, jump forward, and load one round "Well, that's handy" >you say looking down at the ready to fire pistol before holding the Jericho's grip firmly while Maxie squints at the other pistol from where she is leaning against the wall "Show me you deserve a name." >you say lining up the sights as Maxie watches >you decide to begin with a simple double tap BANG BANG >both hits are nearly dead center 10s >you glance down to the Jericho and then at Maxie who is looking rather surprised as she stares at the two hits >you let out a thoughtful "hmm" then let loose with rapid double taps until all 15 rounds have been fired then drop the empty mag, slap home the second mag, and start a quick mag dump >out of the thirty shots fired twenty-five are inside the 10 ring and almost all of them are touching "Well, damn I guess this one is getting a name after all." >you say as you set the Jericho on the bench "Most of that was from you, maestro" >Maxie quickly says as she tugs on your shirt making you look down at the pistol Geist "I suppose so, but it does mean this Jericho is in even better shape than I originally thought" >you say as you look down at the short waffegeist "I would think I do deserve a name, my new master." >a new voice says from the shooting bench >you and Maxie quickly look and see a girl standing on the bench and looking down the range at the now perforated silhouette target >the girl has a slight tan, short dark brown hair, is wearing ankle high combat boots, wool socks, dark blue cargo shorts, and a light blue polo shirt with the insignia of the Israeli Police on one shoulder "Jericho?" >you ask as it's fairly obvious your newly acquired gun does indeed have a waffegeist "Yes, IMI, Jericho 941R" >the short waffegeist replies crisply as she turns to face you and Maxie "Though, I hope that is not the name you are planning on using for me, my new master." >the pistol waffegeist says as you get a look at her >unsurprisingly she's short and maybe a half inch taller than Maxie at 4'11" "Well, Maxie it looks like you'll have a safe sister after all" >you say with a smile as the Jericho's waffegeist hops down from the bench and smiles at you and Maxie >your 92FS' waffegeist however just frowns "Did you have a name from your time in the service?" >you ask while walking with the two pistols clinging to a hand each as you all walk to the car "Why do you ask, master?" >the Jericho inquires while she and Maxie lazily look around the parking lot, their protective nature as pistols showing "Well I know some surplus or trade in guns and waffegeists are given names during their time in service." >you explain as you open the passenger door and both pistols move forward to sit shotgun "Maxie, take the back seat so I can talk to our newest Geist." >you say with a nod to the back door >Maxie narrows her eyes and huffs before climbing in and slamming the door shut >perplexed you look at your 92FS' Geist but she looks away with her arms crossed "Well, this should be an interesting time. Also, my previous master called me Amita" >the Jericho's Geist says before climbing into the front seat >you look between the sulking Maxie, Amita who's wearing a small grin, put two and two together and come to a logical conclusion "Drama ahoy" >you mutter before climbing into the car and starting the journey home ======
