Borzun's Report Analysis? "...The BTS meal is available at the price of 8 dollars and 50 cents." "it is a meal-deal, it comes with a ten-piece chicken mcnugget, a medium french fries, a medium cocacola, and the big selling point is that it comes with two new dipping sauces." "The first dipping sauce is a sweet chili sauce. Uh-It's supposed to be sweet-and-sour, with a touch of heat. The second sauce is a cajun sauce, being described as hot mustard, with chillie and peppers." "So again, it comes with this these two new sauces - these two *exclusive* sauces, at the price of 8 dollars and 50 cents." "So, let's just try it out. I'm gonna try out first the dipping sauce with the sweet chili, then move over to the cajun and we'll uh, give it a wrap-up." "..so that's the gist of the meal- again I just got it, it came in this bag- so some people were wondering 'well is there going to be any BTS-themed, uhm, packaging'. At least in my instance, there wasn't. I can't say how it might be in your case - but it came in this big bag. I already opened it already just to make sure I got everything in it I was supposed to." x I want to write a thing about her where the reader thinks she's, somehow, magically, on a date with an actual human man. Nigga's a little weedy, a little pale, but hell, he's wearing a suit and everything They're dining, the man is talking about the food a lot, the woman is almost talking past the man, almost talking to herself, and eating her own food. There's a couple bits that show the reader this bitch's psyche. A lotta "you're not like other guys" tier dreamy talking etc etc. At the end we realize that she's talking to the screen, and it's Reviewbrah reviewing fast food who she's lusting after. x IDEA: SHE'S USING A TRANSLATOR TO UNDERSTAND REVIEWBRAH, SHE COMMENTS ON HOW IT'S NICE THAT THE OPTIONAL FEATURE ON THE TRANSLATOR TRANSCRIBES THE SPEECH TO TEXT AS WELL, AFTER SHE DRIFTS OFF INTO THOUGHT AND MISSES WHAT REVIEWBRAH SAID. COMMENTS ON HOW SHE WISHES SHE HAD THAT WHILE TALKING TO OTHER SHIL SOMETIMES. "God, I *love* how *real* you are." Borzun said, her eyes fixed to the man's gray-green ones(pupils?) dreamily. "other males don't understand how important numbers are, but you do" in relation to his rating system for meals "Well we'll just roll with it. 'Trying to open this, and you can see what happened..." "And so I'm trying to open it from the other end. Well, it's my sauce, I don't really care how- messy it is, I'm not particular that way." "The way you fold your hands into your lap, so gentlemanly, so regal.." "I enjoyed it, I hope you enjoyed the review. Thank you for watching everyone, I'm your host, The Report of the Week, see you next time!" WORDS FROM J-SON Clumsy, overly nice. Goes an incredible distance to not be seen as threatening to men. A natural worrier. Awkward- like, super awkward. Overly analyses every interaction with everyone. On the rare occasion she meets a boy she’s very scared she’ll be seen as a threat. Is she afraid she's got "the look" of a cringy neckbeard rapist, basically? You worry you scare them so they’re avoiding you. So you don’t work out. You work to analyse why you scared them and how. Work to correct out any aggressive behaviours- aaaand they stick you on a station doing analysis in orbit. STUFF BORZUN ACTUALLY SAID IN THE BOOK: “You’re kidding. You don’t have a name? What about an organisational name?” “Oh, no! I’d heard about a bombing of a bar, but the rubble was so complete I didn’t recognise it as the same one we had gone to.” “Okay, well, you’ve certainly convinced me. Let’s start with a name and get this bitch. Do you have their name?” but between you and I, he seems like a very nice young man who lost his wife to cancer prior to our arrival “People who do, rarely say such things, Lieutenant,” Borzun said carefully, bouncing back up to the rafters- and out of the Lieutenant’s reach. “What is it?” The Data Diver paused. She was a perfectionist- being told she’d ‘missed a spot’ was one of her greatest fears- and she let gravity pull her back down to Earth. “If it’s with an address for another bar like the one they blew up, and I’ll get you everything the Maryland division’s got, whether they want to give it or not.” XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX "Alright, I rushed to get this, it's about probably 15 minutes after uh, this was even released, and I was able to get this. McDonalds is continuing their series of celebrity themed and endorsed meals with the 'BTS meal'. Now again this is the third in the, y'know, the celebrity lineup of meals." IDEA, SPLIT THE ABOVE SECTION INTO TWO PARAGRAPHS AT THE 'OPERATED' POINT, MENTION MCDONALDS, MENTION THE STATION NAME WRITTEN IN TILES THAT SHE RUNS OVER, ETC. desolate "Maintenance Passageways" was what all the modern documentation referred to them as, at least. The man immediately started speaking, which she was quite glad for. She never felt comfortable talking in these kinds of situations, not at first anyway. Really, without that, she would probably feel quite awkward. "Sorry I'm late, the pilot arrived later than scheduled with my delivery.. and then she asked for more than we had agreed." she said in Shil'vati, looking down and away in embarassment. She felt foolish saying it, considering the strangeness of this circumstance. The man droning on about [X thing in the video][QUOTE THE VIDEO??]. Borzun smiled, not the first of the day by a long shot, but perhaps the first that actually made it to her eyes. She started [unpacking mcdonalds shit], and felt a little emboldened. "I- I like your tie, you know. It's very.. handsome" she said again in Shil'vati, saying the last word quick as a flash before conspicuously glaring into the depths of the takeout bag. Doing so kept the young man cleanly outside the range of her vision, while also keeping the embarrassment clearly written(written clear?across?) on her face exposed as little as possible. An act that even as she did it, she knew would just make things awkward. Even just the prospect of another person seeing her face after saying something so embarrassing. She supposed it was an instinct from her youth, something she perhaps forgot she even had. [looking hard into the mcdonalds bag in an immature way, to try to not look at him, and for him to not see her] Maybe she would learn a human language, if things on the planet started looking up. English was the language he spoke, she knew. A spark of a thought raced through her mind, not fit to dwell upon now, but something to ponder later. Perhaps learning their language would make her seem more disarming. "...fries" he said, chewing on one with just the shortest moment of thoughtfulness before tossing the remaining fry stub into the box of chicken nuggets to continue talking, nodding his head as he went. "Which are fine. For time consolidation, I'll say that it's probably going to be the exact same way with the fries, as it is with the nuggets" Time consolidation. Borzun glanced at the time on her omnipad, it was well past 1 AM, station-time. She sighed and looked back toward the man, her gaze lingering on the splashes of color on his otherwise pale features. At first she didn't think the vague pinkish beige tones of most of the humans in the sector she was assigned to monitor would be very appealing, but she quickly learned that even if they weren't purple(Lavender?), they could still be attractive. In this human's case, charming, even. She leaned her face into her hand again, idly lifting one of the breaded chicken pieces to her mouth, even forgetting the special sauces that apparently warranted this whole affair. She rotated her gaze between his pretty pink lips, his pale green hunter's eyes, and the dark bags under his eyes(underneath them?) - a feature(feature isn't a great word choice there) both their species shared, and with the large mirror mounted in her personal lavatory, one she was intimately familiar with herself. He was so much like her, she knew. Punctual, polite, even kind, but with an analytical mind far beyond any Shil'vati male she had ever met. He seemed to live to quantify what he observed, though of course it would be lower scope than anything she encountered in her duties. Perhaps, in another universe, things would have been different. He would have been the one orbiting high above her world in a space station full of monitoring equipment. A data diver, tirelessly observing her people's electronic communications, cataloguing and analyzing vast sums of data.. and, perhaps, even noticing her among the avalanche of detail, just as she had noticed him. "..thoughts on BTS," Borzun zoned in, the man's face suddenly lighting up as he spoke. "I do like the fact that they have new sauces, finally these meals, these celebrity meals- A lot of the time it was just repurposing items that have already been there.." He always looked happy, in a polite, reserved sort of way. A lot like her, she supposed. This time though, he looked almost gleeful. He always looked happy, in a polite, reserved sort of way. A lot like her, she supposed. This time though, he looked almost gleeful. The voice synthesizer on the 'English' to Shil'vati translator did it's best, but even at the best of times it failed to capture the subtle nuances of speech like emotion and intensity of tone. She wouldn't need it to for this though, she could hear the almost mirthful joy in his tone as he spoke, even if she couldn't understand a word of it. With the deft finger swipes her profession was known for she deactivated the audio synthesizing portion of the translator and stared dreamily at the young man. She felt her blush rise, brought a hand to her chest as she felt these wonderful tingles shoot their way up her torso to her heart. She couldn't possibly fight the surely dopey grin trying to spread itself across her face, so almost immediately she stopped trying. x "..and again I could definitely see myself especially getting that sweet chili sauce, uh, going forward. It works really nice with those nuggets, I like it. So out'a ten, all things considered I'd have to give the BST meal from McDonalds, an eight-point-five out of ten."
